One form, one email address, nothing else.
No cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels. Here is the whole picture in plain words.
This site collects as little as it possibly can. There is one form on it, and this page explains exactly what happens to what you type into it.
What I collect
Your email address, and only if you type it into the newsletter form yourself. Nothing else: no name, no phone number, no address. I also record which page you subscribed from, so I know whether the home page or the subscribe page is doing the work.
What I do with it
- Send you the weekly email. That is the entire purpose.
- Nothing else. I do not sell it, rent it, trade it or share it with anyone, including Unicity.
- I do not use it to target advertising at you anywhere.
Tracking, cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or social media pixels. Nothing third-party loads unless you ask for it. See the video section below. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Ordinary web server logs exist. Your IP address and browser appear in them for a short period, as they do for every site on the internet, and they are used for security and diagnosing faults, not for building a profile of you.
The video
There is a video on the journey page hosted by YouTube. It does not load until you press play. The still you see before that is served from this site, not from Google. Press play and YouTube receives the request and may set their cookies, under their policy rather than this one. Don't press it and nothing of yours reaches them.
When you leave for Unicity
Every buy and join button on this site sends you to Unicity's own website, which is a separate company with its own privacy policy, its own cookies and its own account system. Once you are there, this notice no longer applies and theirs does. The link carries my distributor code so Unicity knows the referral came from me; it does not carry anything about you.
How long I keep it
Your email address stays on the list until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and using it removes you. There is no win-back sequence and no second list.
Your rights
Ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, and I will. Email jcbrasefield@gmail.com and say which. Because the only thing I hold is an email address, this is usually a one-line answer.
Children
This site is aimed at adults making decisions about their own health. I do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has subscribed, email me and I will remove the address.
Health information
I write about my own medical history on this site. I am not asking for yours, and you should not send it to me. If you email me health details anyway, I will not add them to any list, but please do not. Talk to your doctor instead.
Changes
If what this site does changes, say if I add analytics or a different mailing tool, this page gets updated to say so. The current version always lives at https://guthealthfixed.com/privacy.
